How To WIN!

We’ll all of our LOCAL presentation videos to compete head-to-head in a bracket-style PPTK Tournament with others around the country. User votes will decide which presentation videos will advance through the tournament and which presenters will win prizes!

Tips:

Info for PPTK event hosts. If you are planning to host a PPTK event, you can follow a few easy guidelines to make sure your event is a success, and to make sure that your contestants qualify for the prizes. Here are some tips:

  1. Turn the camera on. Our contest relies on presentation videos submitted by your guest presenters. To give your presenters the best chance at winning a prize, try to capture high quality video and audio. The presentation might be awesome, but the online audience won’t know unless they can see and hear the presenters clearly!
  2. Tag your video with PPTK. Make sure to tag your videos, events, tweets, and blog posts with the PPTK tag so we can track all of the events and contestants. You wouldn’t want to miss out on prizes because you didn’t tag your video! We also recommend using Upcoming.Yahoo.com for your invitations using the PPTK tag (we will track all events on Upcoming with the PPTK tag). Other social media sites such as Facebook will also work – just make sure that your event is “public” so that we can see it too.
  3. Use YouTube to promote your video. To qualify to win prizes, contestants must upload their video to YouTube with the tag, “PPTK”.
  • We also recommend using “PowerPoint Karaoke” in the title of your video so that your video will show up in YouTube search results.
  • To get the most votes from your YouTube fans, we recommend that you link to your user profile at PowerPointKaraoke2009.com. YouTube allows links in the first line if they include the full “http://”.
